Product Review: C.O. Bigelow Rose & Lavender Salve

Everyone that knows me knows that I always carry my lip gloss with me. Whether it be to bed or to to the store…I always have it on me. I remember how my obsession started.. It was in 6th grade when I used to buy the $1 lip glosses and the corner deli store. The ones that came in a plastic tube in  all different flavors with a little picture of the lips on them. Ya know which ones.  Ever since then I have had this need to have my lips moist at all time.

My ideal lip gloss, is to have a good slip (not greasy lips from fried chicken) but a slip that feel comfortable. It can not be sticky. It will smell good, perferably minty and will have light to no taste.

This lip treatment that I will talk about will have some of these properties

C.O. Bigelow Rose & Lavender Salve

I bought these at Bath&BodWorks. They can be purchased instore or online.

My thoughts

I wish they would come up with a peppermint flavored one because I’m just  not a fan of the flowery scent. But since I like how the salve makes my lips feel I guess I’ll have to suck it up. Well what can I say. The balm is not thin but not super thick either. I am able so smack my lips and rub them together easily. It takes me a while to see the bottom of the pot. Talking about the pot…smh I hate the packaging!!. Since the metal that the container is made out of is not a hard metal, the metal can get dented easily making it hard to open.  Do not do a Valerie, and try to pry the top open with a pair of scissor at work…… Long story short, I ended up getting 4 lovely stitches on my left thumb. What was worse was explaining to my boss how it happened. O the things I do. Anyways back to the review. Notice that the container states that it can be used on elbows, cuticles, knees, face & lips, well I only use it on my lips. Just the fact that it states that its multi use product for all these things makes  my sisters keep away.lol  I would love if it was in a slick instead of in a lil pot. I do not like sticking my fingers in it so I end up dipping my bottom lip in it. lol  People think I am licking it. Overall I will continue to purchase these salves, balms, lip glosses or whatever you want to call them for as long as they make them or until I find something better.

Rose Salve

I have not seen this online nor instores. May be discontinued. ;(

Product Rating:♥♥♥♥

Once a peppermint flavored one is on the market, it will get 5 hearts
